How long have you been playing DCS?: 1 year. Collectively 33 hours.

Have you read and understood the unit's definition of realism gameplay and is it the kind of experience you're looking for?: Yes

Desired Squadron: VF-154

How did you find out about us?: Reddit

Have you read and understood the requirements for our unit, the criteria for being active, and do you understand that failure to complete said criteria will place you into the reserves squadron?:  Yes

Do you understand that this is a CST (GMT -6) unit and that all events will be scheduled as such?: Yes

Do you understand that by applying to this unit you are applying for a slot within a training squadron, that competes for slots within the unit. That as a member of a training squadron, you are not a fully fledged member of the unit until/if selected?: Yes

Do you understand that attendance by all qualified and slotted pilots is mandatory on Saturdays at 1900 CST (Central Time Zone). Will you be able to attend these times?: Yes

Why do you want to join Carrier Strike Group 2?: I have never been a part of a DCS realism unit. Only Arma units. I've been interested in DCS units so I decided to give it a shot here.

Application Accepted

Mr. Hunter, thank you for your application to Carrier Strike Group 2. Your application has been accepted, but unfortunately we do not have any training slots available for pilots without the desired module within VT-10. Due to this, we will be placing you on a short list within our Delayed Entry Program. When a slot opens up, you will be given the opportunity to join on a first come, first serve basis with other DEP candidates. As of right now you are number ONE in line.

There are several things you can do to keep yourself busy while waiting -- get to know other pilots in the Discord, familiarize yourself with Navy SOPs (specifically regarding aviation), and study/fly as much as possible. Keeping yourself up to date with the current systems and maintaining flight proficiency with your desired airframe will only put you ahead of the other student pilots upon entry into the training squadron.

Thank you, and we look forward to flying with you in the near future!
