Barnowlgaming's application

First Name: Chris
Last Name: Marlin
Discord ID: BarnOwlGaming#2463
Age: 14, turning 15 in two weeks

How long have you been playing DCS?:
About 1 year. I started with the Su-25 but last December moved to the A-10C and F/A-18C.

Have you read and understood the unit's definition of realism gameplay and is it the kind of experience you're looking for?:
Yes, this level of realism and seriousness is what I am looking for.

Desired airframe (F/A-18C, F-14B, or AV8B):
F-14B

If your desired airframe is F-14B, what is your perferred position? (Pilot or RIO):
RIO

How did you find out about us?:
Discord Server called DCS F-14 Tomcat Alley

Have you read and understood the requirements for our unit, the criteria for being active, and do you understand that failure to complete said criteria will place you into the reserves squadron?:
I understand.

Do you understand that this is a CST (GMT -6) unit and that all events will be scheduled as such?:
I understand.

Do you understand that by applying to this unit you are applying for a slot within a training squadron, that competes for slots within the unit. That as a member of a training squadron, you are not a fully fledged member of the unit until/if selected?:
I understand.

Do you understand that attendance by all qualified and slotted pilots is mandatory on Saturdays at 1900 CST (Central Time Zone). Will you be able to attend these times?:
I understand, As a 15 year old if my parents mandate my attendance then there isn't much I can do, however I plan to make every possible effort to make these ops, and my guardians understand this.

Why do you want to join Carrier Strike Group 2?:
I hope to eventually be an IRL Naval Aviator and as a naval aviation enthusiast, the opportunity to fly one of my favorite jets in a realistic and serious environment is something I won't pass up. As a previous member of an Arma 3 milsim unit, I look forward to being able to experience the same type of enthusiasm in DCS.

Mr. Woods, thank you for your application to Carrier Strike Group 2. Your application has been accepted. Within a few minutes, you should recieve access to the rest of the forums and access to the modifications that we use. I am processing you into TRARON TEN (VT-10) "Wildcats", where you will undergo training with your desired airframe and squadron. After a few training sessions to get you up to speed on the basics of the airframe, you will join your desired squadron and finish your training with them.

Several things to do before officially flying with CSG-2: Join our Discord Server HERE and check in with either CAPT J. Wolfe or CAPT S. Clark. We will assign you your proper member groups and you can ask us any questions you may have, and/or schedule your first training session. Secondly, be sure to download any DCS mods that are required. You can ask your Squadron CO for that information, or check on the forums if you have access to it. Third, make sure you are running the DCS Open Beta client. All of our pilots utilize this client, and it is considered the main version of the game by most of the DCS multiplayer community.

Finally, when you are properly processed into the forums (given a proper name, rank, permissions, etc), you will need to check into your respective training squadron both on the forums and in Discord. Failure to do so within 7 days will result in an administrative discharge. Please do so HERE.

Thank you, and we look forward to flying with you!

Respectfully,
CAPT S. "Icekiller", Clark
Commander, Air Group
Commander Strike Group Two
