« on: August 17, 2018, 10:47:59 AM »
First Name: Ezra
Last Name: Gibson
Discord ID: Saint#2986
Age: 21

How long have you been playing DCS?: 5 years

Have you read and understood the unit's definition of realism gameplay and is it the kind of experience you're looking for?: Yes

Desired Squadron: VFA-103 Jolly Rogers

How did you find out about us?: I found about you guys from a post on reddit.

Have you read and understood the requirements for our unit, the criteria for being active, and do you understand that failure to complete said criteria will place you into the reserves squadron?: Yes

Do you understand that this is a CST (GMT -6) unit and that all events will be scheduled as such?: Yes

Do you understand that by applying to this unit you are applying for a slot within a training squadron, that competes for slots within the unit. That as a member of a training squadron, you are not a fully fledged member of the unit until/if selected?: Yes

Do you understand that attendance by all qualified and slotted pilots is mandatory on Saturdays at 1900 CST (Central Time Zone). Will you be able to attend these times?: Yes

Why do you want to join Carrier Strike Group 2?: I'd like to join CSG 2 because realism is something I strive for in every game I play. I've been in and out of ArmA 2/ArmA 3 realism units since I was 13. DCS is something that I'm really passionate about and I'd like to bring my leadership skills and knowledge as something to offer. Aviation is one of my biggest interests, and I've been playing flight sims since MS Flight sim 98.

Application Accepted

Mr. Gibson, thank you for your application to Carrier Strike Group 2. Your application has been accepted. Within a few minutes, you should recieve access to the rest of the forums and access to the modifications that we use. I am processing you into TRARON TEN (VT-10) "Wildcats", where you will undergo training with your desired airframe and squadron. After a few training sessions to get you up to speed on the basics of the airframe, you will join your desired squadron and finish your training with them.

Several things to do before officially flying with CSG-2: Join our Discord Server HERE and check in with either LTJG J. Wolfe or LTJG S. Clark. We will assign you your proper member groups and you can ask us any questions you may have, and/or schedule your first training session. Secondly, be sure to download any DCS mods that are required. You can ask your Squadron CO for that information, or check on the forums if you have access to it. Third, make sure you are running the DCS Open Beta client. All of our pilots utilize this client, and it is considered the main version of the game by most of the DCS multiplayer community.

Thank you, and we look forward to flying with you!
